Kelly Lewis has been traveling since she realized the world was far larger than her neighborhood. She grew up surfing on the island of Oahu before moving to Tucson, Arizona to attend the University of Arizona. She’s a writer with an extensive background in editing and reporting, and founded Go! Girl Guides in late 2010 after it came to her in a dream. Go! Girl Guides publishes the world’s first series of travel guidebooks made just for women. Focusing on women’s health and safety, GGG guidebooks help women navigate the world on a budget, and give them the tools they need to stay safe. Their full-color guidebooks work to empower women to travel the world, taking the scary out of solo travel. All guidebooks include free volunteer opportunities, local recipes, and Q&A with female travelers and local OBGYNs.Go! Girl Guides has so far released three guidebooks, on Thailand, Mexico and Argentina, and an e-book on London. Lewis just wrapped up a very successful cross-country book tour along with Argentina guidebook writer Erica Arvizu, which ended in New York.
