A native Nashvillian, Steve Cavendish is the news editor of the Nashville Scene, where he's written about everything from butchers to politics to basketball. After spending much of his career as an art director and manager at papers like the Washington Post and the San Jose Mercury News, he returned to writing while at the Chicago Tribune and came home to be the editor of The City Paper in 2011. Steve and his wife have two co-dependent labs and a very bossy beagle.
